She said: What was I thinking?? March 23, 2013 For the first time ever, I've downgraded a rating I initially gave out to a restaurant. This is a reminder for me that I should go through the whole experience before making an informed decision. The initial rating I gave Melt was a four - but take note that I had a limited tasting of the menu. At that time I only had the main dish. No dessert, no appetizers (if any).
Anyway, I was so impressed that first time that I couldn't way to go back. So I drove 2 hours out of my way to meet family for dinner. And what a disappointment it was. I had the same main dish I had before (capellini) and I'm glad to say that was still a winner. But everything else wasn't. It took me forever to decide on an appetizer because, well, nothing looked appetizing. Well guess what - it didn't look appetizing, and it didn't taste that great either.
And the desserts had names I was familiar with, but they didn't come out looking that way (check out the pictures). I'm all for creativity and pushing the envelope, but don't call a tiramisu as such if it's not going to look like one (again, see photo) nor taste like one. Call it a chocolate bomb or something else altogether.
So from a 4, Melt has been downgraded to a 3. A three isn't so bad, since I still enjoyed the capellini and the service and ambience were good. But will I come back again? Will I make the 2-hour trip to this place? Umm, no!

What a beautiful, beautiful restaurant in Center Valley, PA. Comparable to most trendy restaurants in Manhattan! Love the modern feel of the restaurant. The interiors are very pleasing to the eye and immediately relaxes you. The bathroom (located on the 2nd floor and easily accessible via stairs or elevator) is tastefully done. And the food is simply divine. I had the mozzarella fritta and the capellini, both of which I enjoyed very much. My only regret was that we were here for only lunch. I firmly believe that in order to experience everything a restaurant has to offer, one must go during dinner time. So I'll definitely be back to try dinner, this time from soup to nuts!

Was a pleasant surprise. Very modern, upscale place. The interior is beautiful, and all of the staff were very friendly. I had the minestrone soup which was very tasty and the rigatoni with sweet sausage which was out of this world! I am really looking forward to heading back here very soon.
Review from @dparke3 (03.23.13):
I really enjoyed the ambiance of Melt. There is a lot to look at! Even though the menus are larger than the tables, the food makes up for it. The lamb was cooked just right, and the Rooftop Mojito is a new personal favorite. I always love a good cannoli as well, and I loved the fact that they added pistachios to the top. An all around great experience.
