It's great to finally go to a steakhouse that knows how to do steak. After the last few weekends of steakhouse misses (Steakhouse 85 and Broadway Mike's), we finally ate really good steak. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was delicious at the Capital Grille. Of particular note is the fabulous side dishes we had. It was so good we scraped the bowls right down to the bottom! Special mention also goes to the beautiful interiors (check out my pics).
I will point out one thing, though. What is it about steakhouses outside of NYC that lack presentation? As you can see from the photo, steak plus one leaf constitutes a presentation. I've been to the Capital Grille in Manhattan (42nd Street) and it's vastly different from this location in Cherry Hill. The food tastes the same but the atmosphere is a little more scaled back. Hence the simple presenatation?

Bread basket - the best one was the soft bread with cheese on top. Yum!
Caesar Salad - nothing special. Wish there was a way restaurants (not just Capital Grille) can figure out how to put anchovies in there without me seeing the whole meat. I love anchovies but the slimy skin skeeves me sometimes. Maybe grate it? Shave it? Cut it up in little pieces??
Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Wasabi Arugula - Premium Wagyu beef, sliced razor thin and served chilled.
Pan fried scallops in cream and white wine reduction sauce
Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato and Basil with 12-year Aged Balsamic - Delicately flavorful and beautiful on the plate.
Cheesecake with Fresh Seasonal Berries - A guest favorite. Extremely light, with a caramelized brulee topping
Trio of Handcrafted Ice Creams - Served with freshly baked cookies
Fresh Seasonal Berries in Vanilla Cream - A blend of just-right berries enveloped in Crème Anglaise
