This is not the typical restaurant I would review but I thought I'd make an exception. It combines two of my favorite things to do - eating and watching movies. The AMC Dine-In Theatre is not the first moviehouse to try this concept. I remember at one time there was a movie theatre in Manhattan that did this (was it Regal on 34th and 8th?) but they discontinued it. There was also one we went to in Virginia Beach, VA, but I was so freaked out because it felt like creepy crawlies would come out any second. The interesting thing about this AMC Dine-In Theatre is that they have real food on the menu. It's not just your usual fare of popcorn, nachos and candy with giant tumblers of soda. They have a good variety of appetizers, salads, main courses and dessert. I had the buffalo chicken wings, margherita flatbread pizzeta, tenderloin tips, and chocolate brownie sundae - is that variety or what?? And the food's not that bad. It's not gourmet and will probably never be Michelin rated, but for a movie theatre the food is quite tasty. They also have wait staff that takes your order and brings the food to you (and anytime you need them, you can press a button a la airplane service). Oh and one more thing - they have full bar service. Not so important to me since I don't drink. But for those who do drink it's an added bonus, especially when the movie you're watching looks like it'll win a Razzie award!
